Southern California weather can be beautiful, but each season brings different needs for pets. From hot summer sidewalks to cooler winter evenings, small adjustments can help keep dogs and cats safe, comfortable, and happy year-round.

During summer, heat is one of the biggest concerns. Dogs can overheat quickly, especially during midday walks. Try to schedule walks in the early morning or evening when temperatures are cooler. Always bring water, avoid hot pavement, and watch for signs of overheating like heavy panting, slowing down, drooling, or weakness.
